Pros:

– Customize slider speed, order and other options
Cons:
– Images are hosted on a single WordPress website – slideshows can’t be shared by multiple sites

Option #2 – Flickr Slideshow

Images are hosted in a Flickr album.

Pros:
– Images are hosted in Flickr
– Slideshow can be embedded in multiple websites
Cons:
– Flash-based, doesn’t display on most mobile devices
– Image size not responsive for mobile
– Slider speed, order and other options are not customizable
– No captions
